Nodier EMAG, French representative of the EMAG group for more than 50 years

TLDR: Nodier EMAG, based in Bailly in the Yvelines, represents the German EMAG group (founded in 1867 in Bautzen, today based in Salach) in France and Spain, with a broad technology spectrum covering turning, drilling and milling, as well as internal, external cylindrical, crankshaft and camshaft grinding through the Reinecker, Karstens, Naxos-Union and Kopp brands, brought together within the EMAG grinding division.

The collaboration between the German EMAG group and the French company Nodier began in 1970, giving rise to Nodier EMAG, responsible for representing the group in the French and Spanish markets from its premises in Bailly, in the Yvelines. Nodier EMAG draws on the entire know-how of the EMAG group to supply production solutions for machining chucked parts, cubic parts and shafts: lathes, grinding machines, gear cutting machines, laser welding machines and machining centres. The offering covers EMAG turning, drilling and milling, Reinecker internal grinding, Karstens external cylindrical grinding, Naxos-Union crankshaft grinding, Kopp camshaft grinding and Koepfer gear cutting — a set of historic German grinding brands integrated through successive acquisitions by the group.

A range of vertical pick-up spindles and specialised grinding spindles

TLDR: The inverted vertical pick-up spindle concept, implemented by Nodier EMAG as early as 1992, today equips more than 3,500 machines worldwide, while the grinding spindles of the EMAG division brands (Reinecker, Karstens, Naxos-Union, Kopp) cover specialised applications according to the type of grinding involved.

The inverted vertical pick-up spindle concept, implemented by Nodier-Emag for the first time in 1992, has proved itself: today more than 3,500 machines of this type are in use worldwide, whether as vertical lathes or as multifunction production centres for machining chucked parts or parts held by other clamping means. On twin-spindle vertical configurations with pendulum technology for parts of 100 mm diameter, the work spindles are arranged to the left and right of the machine bed and move along the Z axis, with a turret at the front moving along the X axis. The VLC 250 DS turning and grinding centre combines the advantages of vertical pick-up turning with those of grinding, illustrating the technological integration of the EMAG grinding division (Reinecker for internal, Karstens for external, Naxos-Union for crankshafts, Kopp for camshafts) within the Nodier EMAG offering.
