Setco spindle and motor spindle repair
Brochexpress is an independent workshop specializing in the repair, maintenance and diagnostics of Setco spindles and motor spindles.
Setco spindles equip many grinding machines and heavy-duty production machines, notably in the automotive, aerospace and industrial subcontracting sectors. Drawing on our technical expertise, we support manufacturers across France and Europe in restoring their equipment and optimizing uptime. A properly maintained spindle is the guarantee of accurate, repeatable and productive grinding.

TLDR: Setco (founded in 1912, United States) has been recognised for more than 110 years as a technical leader in the design, manufacture and servicing of precision components such as spindles, milling heads, slides and spindle/slide combinations, with more than 275,000 new and rebuilt spindles in service worldwide.
For more than 110 years, Setco has been recognised as the technical leader in the design, manufacture and servicing of precision components such as spindles, milling heads, slides and spindle/slide combinations, with more than 275,000 new and rebuilt spindles currently in service worldwide. Setco is the largest independent manufacturer of precision spindles in the United States, with nine production sites around the world and a team of more than 30 full-time engineers. Beyond manufacturing standard and custom spindles, the company also repairs and services spindles for more than 350 machine tool brands, with special products developed in-house such as Spark Erosion Grinding, the AirShield bearing seal and the RotoShield rotary coolant union.
Setco spindles are found on many demanding grinding machines and heavy-duty production equipment, in sectors such as automotive, aerospace and industrial subcontracting.
Maintaining these assemblies requires in-depth knowledge of their architecture as well as appropriate inspection equipment. This is precisely what Brochexpress has been providing for more than 30 years, from our sites in Beaurepaire (France) and Lussery-Villars (Switzerland).

A range of motorised, robotic and low- or high-speed spindles
TLDR: Setco spindles cover low-speed applications for heavy-duty use as well as high-speed, low-torque applications for precision operations, with motorised spindles using an internal motor, multi-axis spindles able to pivot beyond the main axis, and spindles specifically designed for end-of-robot integration.
Setco spindles meet the demands of the heaviest applications with low-speed spindles, or deliver the accuracy required for detailed operations with high-speed, low-torque spindles. Motorised spindles with an internal motor allow precise control of speed and acceleration, higher spindle speeds than with a belt drive, better surface finish quality, and reduced vibration and noise. Multi-axis spindles can pivot beyond the main axis, additional flexibility ideally suited to machining parts with multiple faces or angles. Setco also develops spindles specifically designed for end-of-robot integration, with advanced bearing technology and dynamic balancing supporting smooth operation despite their reduced size, as well as custom spindles for friction stir welding requiring high thrust capacity and continuous loading.
